Overall, the most popular immunity boosting foods are ginger (48%), turmeric (47%), citrus fruits (47%) and garlic (42%). Older generations are more likely to reach for green tea, nuts, seeds, and leafy greens to boost their immunity, whereas the younger generations are more likely to go for berries, dark chocolate, and chillis.

The fridge/freezer is the kitchen appliance people are prepared to spend the most on (54%), with the air-fryer now being more popular than a hot water tap, coffee machine or pizza oven. The humble blender is now the appliance people are willing to spend the least on (6%). Younger generations are more likely to invest in a coffee machine, whereas older generations are more likely to invest in a dishwasher.

When it comes to the government’s planned introduction of digital driving licences later this year, 8 in 10 people have some concerns about it. The biggest concerns people have are mostly around hacking and data breaches (40%), the collection, storage and sharing of personal data (34%) and fraud and identity theft (32%). Men were more likely to have concerns about government surveillance, and women were more likely to not be aware of the incoming change.

Event Attendance

63% of those that attend live sporting events or concerts have reduced the number of events they attend due to rising costs, with 17% saying they’ve stopped going altogether. The 3 things that would most get people’s bums back in seats are a seat-side food & drink service (36%), heated seating (33%) and sit-down restaurant access (27%).

On average, households on our panel receive 2 deliveries per week. And overall, we’re a chatty bunch, with 7 in 10 people making small talk with their delivery drivers - although only 1 in 10 of us actually know their names. Not only are women more likely than men to chat to delivery drivers, but they’re also over twice as likely to remember all their names.
